Questions

Frequently asked questions

This preview focuses on Android Enterprise Fully Managed devices owned by the company.

Can each company choose its own apps and restrictions?

Yes. Each company has its own workspace and policy. Admins can set required work apps, optional apps, and supported device restrictions for that company.

Can a company manage employees' personal phones?

This product is designed for company-owned Fully Managed Android devices. Personal phones are outside this setup.

What happens when a device is wiped?

A remote wipe factory resets a Fully Managed device and removes its local data. The console requires a deliberate confirmation for this action.

Can management be removed while keeping device data?

Restrictions can be relaxed while the device stays managed. Removing Fully Managed enrollment requires a factory reset, so local data cannot be guaranteed to remain.

Is location tracking or contacts backup included?

General location tracking and contacts backup are not in this preview. They need separate implementation, permissions, disclosure, and review. Supported Lost Mode is a separate recovery feature.
